![]() ![]() Once you get to the coordinates for stage one, note the street address of the location. Of course brute forcers are readily aware of this assumption. This cache isn't at the posted coordinates, but since it can't be too far I will tell you that the degrees and minutes you need to locate stage one are the same as the posted coordinates. However, it has facilitated finding many caches. Getting familiar with areas when planning to place a cache only to have someone else beat me to it has happened so many times I have lost count. That first puzzle cache was to help give the feeling of brute forcing. My only excuse is that I didn't want to get halfway into posting any other caches until I finished that one, and of course I needed time to go caching. My first puzzle cache was in place for four months before I finally posted the cache page. Of course it should be me for being too lazy to write and post new caches promptly. It makes me want to ring the neck of someone. I went out there, placed a new log within the camo and prepared to publish it, and what do you know, the same day another cache is published little over one hundred feet away. Well, I actually placed some camo to weather in a spot but neglected getting a cache published there. Then wouldn't you know it someone else places a cache. The current rules require the final location to be within a couple miles of the fake coordinates.Ī while back I found a nice trail with no traditional caches on it so I took some coordinates and started planning on placing some caches. The geocaching rules keep changing and the area gets saturated.Ī while ago, I wanted to create a puzzle with the dummy coordinates a long way away from the final location, like so many of the old puzzle caches, and it isn't allowed. Maybe this cache will make you angry if you aren't already. Alright, you are reading this, so you are a geocacher, and are probably viewed as a bit nuts too.
